Dear Hiring Managers,
My name is Peter Ingersoll and it is with great enthusiasm that I am applying for the position of Communications Officer – Web and Social Media as posted in the careers section of your website.
I am very excited about this role within your important organization. It is rare to find a position that is appealing to me on so many levels. If ever there was position that I thought was made specifically for me, this is it.
On an objective level, I reviewed the responsibilities and qualifications and can truthfully respond with a “big check” next to pretty much every item. You will see in my résumé that I have long history of applying innovative and creative technology solutions to marketing and communications initiatives.
I’ve delivered Web, digital, social media and traditional marketing solutions for large and small companies, nonprofit organizations, and individuals. I am recognized as an innovative thinker who uses a vast (and constantly expanding) toolbox for building business solutions. At all levels of the organization, I help others become comfortable with new solutions as we collaborate and deliver on our shared goals.
On a more emotional level, this is a role I feel very passionate about. I’ve lived in the Greater Hartford region all my life. I truly believe in your mission to improve the quality of life for residents here. I know that I will combine my skills, experience and sincere care for the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to make the kind of positive impact that I’ve been looking for – and that the organization delivers. My enthusiasm will be combined with my experience and business sense so that all our efforts will have the greatest opportunity for success.
I hope I’ve expressed to some small degree how strongly I believe that I will be a great asset to your organization. It is only through conversation that I can prove my unique set of abilities, insights, and passion. I look forward to hearing from you so we can set up the first of what I hope will be many.
Sincerely, and with great interest,
Peter Ingersoll
